Maxine Darnell represents over 40 volunteers on the Annerley Community Bookshop committee.

My love of books was fueled by my grandmother giving me Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders to read- as I had read everything else in the house. I have worked in the university sector in a number of academic and research roles and have published in the field of Australian economic and social history. Currently I am doing contract work for academic publishers building online testbanks and also some technical editing.

When I am not sitting in front of a computer or working in the bookshop I enjoy playing in my garden (and making the neighbours worry about what I am going to do next!!!!). I am also thoroughly enjoying being a nanna for the first time.
